On Blogger: How to Insert Music to Blog

Music is a spice to your blog. So if you want to spice up your blog by adding your fave song, then here's what you have to do.

I'm going to use the song "Ours" by Taylor swift as a sample for this post.

(take note: I prefer using the old interface of Blogger 'coz I find it simple and easier to use. In case you are using the new interface, you can change it to the old one and switch back to the new interface if you like. )

STEP 1: Surf the net for the embed URL of your preferred song. There are many sites which offer this such as the videokeman.com. Look for the embed then copy and paste to a notepad.

STEP 2: Go to your Blogger dashboard then click "Design."
STEP 3: Click "Add a Gadget" then choose this:

STEP 4: Paste the embed code on the "Content" in the pop-up window, then click "Save." Try to view your blog and you can see something like this:

The music automatically plays once the blog is opened.

Men vs. Women

I find these quotes funny. I am a woman but I'm definitely no man hater. Read on and break free the "haha's".. Just for fun...lol! Enjoy! :)

"Men are like parking spots, the good ones are taken and the free ones are handicapped."
"Girls are like phones. We love to be held, talked too but if you press the wrong button you'll be disconnected!"
"The average woman would rather have beauty than brains, because the average man can see better than he can think."
"Men are like bank accounts. Without a lot of money they don't generate a lot of interest."
"Whatever women do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. Luckily, this is not difficult."
"If your wife wants to learn to drive, don't stand in her way."
"Men should be like Kleenex, soft, strong and disposable."
"I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar."
"Men are like Commercial Ads. You can't believe a word they say."
"Men are like Popcorn. They satisfy you, but only for a little while."
"Men are like Weather. Nothing can be done to change them."
"Women have many faults, while men only have 2: Everything they say & everything they do."
" A woman marries a man hoping he will change, but he never does. A man marries a woman hoping she won’t change, but she always does."
"Man was made at the end of the week’s work, when God was tired."
" MAN: “I don’t know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful at the same time.” WOMAN: “God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me. God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!”
"In shopping: Man would buy a useful thing for P1000. Woman would buy a useless thing for P500."
"Men are like government bonds. They take too long to mature."

Must-Try Beverages

These are actually just my picks. I'm not really someone who has gone to many restaurants here in Davao so I believe there are more (way better, perhaps) to these. But these drinks really have a link to my taste making them qualified to be a part of my favorite-list, and I think they're worth recommending. I love them so I'd like to share them to you, thinking you might love them, too. You should try them.

This is the citrus and herbs from Coco's (located in the Victoria Plaza's compound and another near the Convention Center at Torres). It's like lemonade added with slices of orange and cucumber and an herb (a leafy-stuff I'm not really familiar with). It was good at first sip, and got better and better every time. I was kind of not expecting it. But really, no regrets the first time I ordered it. The price is around 100 pesos (quite expensive for a glass, many would say) but just forget about how much you spend for it and enjoy. After all, you won't have it everyday. Just try!

This one is watermelon shake with calamansi from Antonio's (SM City Davao) It's just the usual watermelon shake, actually, and the calamansi is the only twist. Nothing more. But it tastes good. Try it and you can tell. The price is less than 100 pesos--not much for a new discovery.

College, Here I Go!

To the high school graduating batch, a salute from me. Let me guess, your thoughts are preoccupied with the C-O-L-L-E-G-E thing, right?

Which school will I go to? What will I do on the first day? Will I ever meet BFF's? Who's gonna accompany me to lunch? The teacher, a terror? Who? What? When? How???? Oooooppsss....Whoa! Chill..Too much questions won't help ease the freakin' feeling. It worsens. :D But trust me I know, it's relatively normal.. :D

Here's some tips:

OBSERVE! Don't right away indulge yourself into something you have zero knowledge about. Use your senses --eyes, watch how people go about things, remember landmarks (so you won't get lost --the entrance-exit gates, canteen, offices, etc). Other senses won't do much help but you gotta include this one: COMMON SENSE --this helps all the time.

LISTEN! Listen to instructions. You'll have orientations on the first day. So take note of important info so you won't end up deviating from the norm and you'll avoid the "duh!-it-was-mentioned-during-the-orientation,-didn't-you-hear?" comments and you go like "Was it??" Damn! :D Ayt? So listen carefully!

BFF's? Look for someone in the group whom you think you'll be most comfortable with. Don't spot for the famous, the know-all, the fashionista or hip 'coz if these aren't really your thing, then forget it or your stay in college would be hell on earth (hot!!!). Don't pretend to be someone you're not. College isn't about that, it's about showing the real you and proving your worth.

HANG-OUT's? You'll have much of it when you GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE, especially when with flying colors. While in school, you can go for some. Balance is the keyword. If there's no upcoming tests or projects, then by all means, treat yourself (moderately). Common sense, remember? If you have it, you'll know the when and how to's of hanging out.

LESSONS? Nothing to worry. Just like in high school, teachers are there to explain.

BREAK TIME? It depends on the policy of the school. But usually, there are more break-times in college than the usual recess-and-lunch-breaks in high school. Meaning, you have time to make assignments, projects, reports, or nap in between classes.

I guess these are the basic stuff that most college entrants are so worried about. If you have more in mind, feel free to ask. I hope this helps. And one more thing, just BE YOURSELF--it works all the time. Good Luck! ;)

The Title: On Anything

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog. I've entitled it "On Anything" because this will be just about

it. Food, trips, ideas...simply anything. I chose a

blog address which is "justwildthoughts.blogspot.com" because I believe it perfectly describes

this blog--plainly my wild thoughts.

This post is the first of anything that is up my way. Enjoy! :)
